The external platform of the wind turbine is an important facility that ensures the stable operation of the wind turbine, providing the necessary workspace for installation, maintenance, and repair. The platform consists of platform boards, platform supports, safety railings, climbing ladders, electrical systems, lighting systems, and other components.

The external platform of offshore wind turbines is even larger in scale and more complex in structure. Due to the harsh offshore environment, the platform must possess strong stability and corrosion resistance. The platform boards are typically made of galvanized steel or aluminum plates, connected with bolts and nuts for easy installation, disassembly, and later replacement. The safety railings are welded from steel pipes and have undergone professional anti-corrosion treatment. In addition to meeting equipment maintenance needs, the platform may also be equipped with a helicopter landing pad to facilitate the transportation of personnel and materials.
